SC EdTech Exhibitor FAQ’s

What is included with my Booth Package?
Each 10′ x 10′ booth package includes the following: back-wall drapes; side-rail drapes; one skirted table; two chairs; booth carpeting; wastebasket; and one exhibitor identification sign.
Additional furnishings may be ordered through the official decorator, National Expo (phone: 217-636-8178).

Electrical service is not provided with the booth package. You can order electrical service from the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.   They are also provider of Internet service and Audio Visual rentals. Phone: 843-918-1225.

May I hand-carry items into the Exhibit Hall?

Yes.  Exhibitors may hand-carry their own material into the exhibit facility.  However, be advised that no carts or dollies will be available for loan or rent from either National Expo or the Convention Center.  Please note that only full-time employees of the exhibiting company will be allowed to hand-carry items into the exhibit facility.

What is Drayage?
Drayage (material handling) is the handling of your exhibit freight in Louisville.  Drayage services are ordered through National Expo.   A CWT (hundred weight) is defined as 100 pounds of material and is used as the billing unit for drayage charges.  Drayage services include:

Receiving exhibitors freight at the advance shipping warehouse and storing it for up to 30 days prior to the show.
Receiving freight at the Convention Center loading dock.
Unloading and placing exhibit materials in the exhibitor’s booth.
Picking up and storing empty crates and containers during the show.
Returning empty crates and containers after the close of the show.
Loading freight or equipment on outbound carriers for return shipment.

Can I set up and dismantle my own booth?
Yes.  Exhibitor Appointed Contractors will be permitted to supply their own labor for the installation and dismantling of their displays.

How soon will empties be returned after the close of the show?
Crates or boxes in storage will be delivered to exhibitor booths as soon as possible after the close of the show.  Small cases and cardboard cartons will be stored in a separate area to facilitate their quick return.

Who is responsible for the security of my merchandise?
You are.  Show Management provides roving security in the Exhibit Hall during close hours, however the Exhibit Hall cannot be completely secured at night.  The ultimate responsibility for merchandise security rests on the exhibitor.  Therefore it is advised that you have a rider attached to your property insurance policy covering your merchandise against “all perils” for the period of time from the date of shipment to the return arrival date of your materials.  Neither Show Management, the conference sponsors, the Charleston Area Convention Center, National Expo nor any of their officers, agents or employees assume any responsibility for such property.
